Join Health Partners on IPV +Exploitation, OCHIN, and AACI at the 2026 OCHIN Learning Forum in New Orleans, LA for a session titled “Transforming Care with CUES: A Healing-Centered Approach to Intimate Partner Violence, Sexual Violence, and Human Trafficking”. This presentation will highlight the integration of the evidence-based CUES (Confidentiality, Universal Education, Support) intervention within ambulatory care settings using OCHIN Epic EHR tools. Participants will explore how CUES transforms traditional disclosure-based screening into a universal education approach, fostering safer and more supportive care environments for individuals affected by intimate partner violence (IPV), sexual violence, and human trafficking.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the prevalence and health impacts of intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking.
  • Explain the CUES intervention model and differentiate it from traditional disclosure‑based screening approaches.
  • Demonstrate how to implement and document the CUES intervention using OCHIN EPIC tools.
  • Identify effective implementation strategies for the CUES intervention in healthcare settings and lessons learned that reduce secondary harm.
