Strengthening Emergency Preparedness: Supporting Survivors of IPV, Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Learning Collaborative – 4 virtual sessions)

Description: Health Partners on IPV + Eploitation and The School-Based Health Alliance are excited to announce that we are offering a six-session learning collaborative for adolescent-serving school-based health centers (SBHCs) on Healing-Centered Approaches to Addressing Relationship Abuse and Human Trafficking. This learning collaborative is open to SBHCs sponsored by Health Center Programs and Look-Alikes interested in building their capacity to promote healthy relationships and prevent adolescent relationship abuse (ARA) and human trafficking (HT). The learning collaborative will meet every other Tuesday between October 4 and December 13, 2022. Following the biweekly meetings, participants will receive individualized technical assistance and support through February 2023. Continuing education credits will be offered.
Learning Objectives:
Participating teams will receive support to:
Create meaningful partnerships with local community-based domestic violence programs for referrals and care coordination
Implement systems to support the implementation of CUES, an evidence-based prevention and response program for ARA and HT
Engage youth to conduct youth-led programming to promote healthy relationships
Strengthen collaboration with school staff to meet the needs of students
Learning Collaborative Session Dates/Times:
Between October and December 2022, teams will participate in six 90-minute learning sessions. Each session held on a Tuesday from 10:00 – 11:30am Pacific time and 1:00 – 2:30pm Eastern time, will include presentation and discussion facilitated by expert faculty and time for participants to work with their teams on action planning. The learning collaborative curriculum includes the following topics:
