Description:

Survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) and human trafficking (HT) often face significant barriers to accessing oral health care, and dental visits can sometimes act as triggers for these individuals. Dental professionals play a crucial role in creating safe and supportive environments that prioritize the comfort and well-being of these patients. National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA) and Health Partners on IPV+Exploitation are partnering to offer this webinar that will discuss oral health and IPV/HT. 1.0 CDE will be offered.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe barriers that survivors of IPV/HT may experience in accessing oral health care.
  2. Share strategies to provide safer and more comfortable patient experiences during oral health visits.
  3. Discuss the importance of community partnerships to optimize care coordination and support for survivors of IPV/HT.
